WHAT TO EXPECT
Before Your Visit
- Discontinue the use of retinoids, exfoliating treatments, and acids 3-5 days before your appointment.
- Inform your provider of any skin conditions or recent treatments.
- Avoid sun exposure and wear sunscreen leading up to the treatment.
During Your Visit
- A numbing cream will be applied to ensure comfort.
- A device that combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy will be used to target deeper layers of the skin for tighter, smoother skin.
- Treatment usually takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the area being treated.
After Your Visit
- Mild redness and swelling may last for 1-2 days.
- Expect peeling to begin within 2-3 days and continue for up to a week.
- Avoid sun exposure, makeup, and any harsh skincare products for 24-48 hours.
- Multiple sessions (typically 3-4, spaced 4-6 weeks apart) are recommended for optimal results, with effects continuing to improve over 6 months.
